Each year Miracles in the Making provides inner city children with mittens, gloves, scarves, and winter coats to children attending a school in the Philadelphia School District who would otherwise have nothing. Hundreds of articles of clothing have been freely given away to children attending the John H. Taggart Elementary School in South Philadelphia. Your donated cloths keep children and the less fortunate warn each winter. Thank you for making the Miracle happen in the lives of these children.
Sunday Service is held at 5:30 PM Monthly. We are a small congregation that cherishes being a "family". Saint Mary's Church of Branchdale PA welcomes you and invites you to belong to our family of Christian believers!
Saint Mary's Church once sat closed, vacant and in disrepair for many years. Many thought the church building which served the community since 1886 would be torn down like so many other churches. It was with God's love that it was renovated, restored, renewed and reborn in loving memory of Marie L. Coles, our founder's mother who spent her life serving and ministering to the poor and homeless in the ministry of The Salvation Army, American Rescue Workers and The Volunteers of America. She was a seamstress who knitted hats, gloves and scarves and other garments that were worn by many babies during the winter. She served and cooked countless meals to the homeless and was a "Mother" to many people who never had a mother of their own.
A sincere and special "Thank You" to the many people who dedicated themselves to the cause and donated their time, talents and treasure to make this Miracle happen and see Saint Mary's Church open again to the community in December of 2012 as our first Miracles in the Making Church.
Saint Mary's Church of Branchdale is a handicap accessible church facility with a handicap bathroom and parking availability.
We hope that you feel most welcome and will come visit us on Sunday Afternoons at 5:30 for our Church service.
